Install on Dell R420 server - boot from USB

Hello

I'm trying to install FreeNas on a Dell R420 server while booting from an USB stick.

Should be pretty straightforward but can't seem to figure it out...

I have tried to created a bootable installer stick but it will simply not be recognized from the BIOS.

I have then installed on an USB stick on a different machine (using a VM and the iso as the source of the installer, worked fine). This stick, when connected to the intended server, seems to be recognized but the BSD boot process simply shows a long list of ####.

I'm most likely missing something obvious but can't really figure it out right now...

Any help most welcome !

Just FYI tried NAS4Free and it installed without issue on the very same hardware. I understand it is probably mostly a FreeBSD issue but still rather frustrating...
