install HBA, keep pool?

hey folks,
i need to put my 6 HDDs to an HBA to have more ssd connected to the mobo sata.

currently my pool is on these discs. can i just install the HBA and connect the discs?

i would like to avoid putting all data again on the discs.

Yes. As long as the HBA has no fancy RAID shenanigans.

Yes, just make sure the HBA is configured or flashed on IT mode. Check the hardware recommendation for some examples of good ones.
