Hello,

Would it be advisable, if you're capped at 32GB of RAM on a 80TB server, to use more than the standard 1GB of swap space? The Boot Drive is a nvme 250GB Samsung so i think it can handle the writes and has the speed to cope with it.

Thoughts?

Thanks

You don't really want to be planning to use your swap. It's better to have it used than having a kernel panic, but it's not a good thing for performance (even if your swap is on a fast drive).

Depending on the size of your working set (files you access and modify regularly), 32GB could be fine or even good for 80TB. The system will manage its best with the RAM it has in any case and ARC will just churn faster.
