I may be mixing up terminology, but I'm a bit confused.

I have to setup TLS for ldap now (even though the machines are on the same subnet and inhouse, so it wasn't something I was too worried about - not saying encrypting isn't a good idea, just didn't have a need for it here for this setup). Anyway, now none of our users are able to SSH. Strangely enough samba still authenticates correctly.

I need to import the CA certificate we currently use for generating our certs. However when I try to import the cert it asks me for a key. I've never used a key for the CA cert itself. Our CA simply provides the cert. This has been the case with every CA I've used. So maybe I'm thinking the wrong CA or something?

At the moment, this field is mandatory. Please create a feature request at bugs.freenas.org, explaining that you are using an external CA and simply wish to import the signed cert, and post the issue number here.

Not to resurrect an old thread, but for anyone who comes across this: you can import CA certificates without importing the private keys by just not filling in the "Private Key" field.
