Import Plugins on 9.2

I had an external array plugged into an older machine that was running FreeNAS (only a month old install), and decided to move the array to some beefier hardware. I exported the ZFS array from the old hardware and imported it into the new hardware. That's all working properly.

I then tried to work with the plugins. The Jails I had on the ZFS array were automatically detected and I've now activated them and they say Running.

Unfortunately the Plugins page is acting up.

1) It doesn't seem to be able to pull down the plugins at all and the Available page just says "Loading.." for a minute and then will say "No entry has been found".

2) Even though the Jails have been imported, it doesn't appear to have imported the Plugins.

Is there a way I can fix these issues in the UI? Also, can someone point me to some documentation that explains how I may be able to manually activate the plugins from the command line?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Is your new NAS able to access internet? Can you ping www.freenas.org from the FreeNAS CLI?

Did you also backup your config on the old HW and restored it on the new one? If not, I'm afraid you need to delete the jails and install the plugins again.

Yes, it's able to access the Internet and can resolve and ping the freenas.org site.

I have the old system still running (just not with the old ZFS array attached). Is there a way I can export the DB entries for the plugins/jails from the old system and re-import to the new one? I don't want to overwrite the entire config of the new server.

I realized this is using a sqlite3 database and looked around at the schema of the plugin and jails tables. looks like they are fairly similar. I think there's only one column in jails_nullmountpoint that's different? If I were to export from one and import into the other, is there anything else that would need to be done?

I guess if you do it properly it should work. There is no other persistent jail/plugin related data on the USB stick.

I was able to export from the 9.1.1 DB and import into the 9.2 db with only that single column update.

As you can see in the screenshots attached, the jails show up and run correctly. The plugins now show up under installed.

However then I hit "on/off" I get a green box at the top that says "some error occurred". Looking in /var/log/messages I see these messages.

It appears to me that perhaps nginx isn't setup to know the plugins are available? But I couldn't easily figure out where that info might be housed. Suggestions?

Also, the Available plugins page still does not load properly.

I had some issues when I upgraded from 9.1.1 to 9.2.0 similar to this. looking at /var/log/messages it was reporting an inability to connect to the plugins within the jails. Would repeat itself every few minutes, GUI would not show them as being available or not started.

I ended up re-IP'ing the jails, ensuring they have valid gateways in the jail configuration, also setting the gateway for freenas. reboot the machine and then everything connected. Might be similar to what you are seeing.

In my situation the applications were actually up and running but FreeNAS was unable to connect to them to get the information about their state.
