I just upgraded to TrueNas Scale from true nas core, and I would like to know how to transfer the metadata that I already have, I made a zip I have the .tar file in my PC, to the app installation in TrueNas Scale. Also I would like to know how to set it up, I have tried transferring the metadata through the shell into /mnt/my pool name/Plex/config/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server, but it just doesn't work it denies me access to the server.

Which version of Plex did you install? the official one? or the TrueCharts one?

Did you set any persistent storage locations? (I guess you went with the defaults)

OK, so it will be the config location that's important to look at.

You will be looking for a directory named "Plex Media Server".

You need to find that in your old install, copy it over to the new one in the same place and re-align the permissions to match what's there now.

On both Core and Scale I have a "Plex Media Server" file AND a "Plex Media Server" directory. Do I move BOTH from Core to Scale?
