I had my freenas set up 2 months ago and had my shares working and all was good. Due to a bad upgrade, and an internet card failure, I had to rebuild the rig altogether. Full story is on my other thread "Network stopped Working".

2 months ago I was able to make freenas hostname "HomeServer" with all may shares as drives in it. This round I cannot get it to show up as a discoverable device.I can get to all of my shares if I manually map or browse to it, typing in the exact file path as I know it is, but I can not just browse to the server through explorer.

The shares are created with guest access permitted and browsable to network computers. I'm not sure what I'm missing/forgetting from November when I first did this.

Any help is appreciated.

Wow. I need to post my problems more often. I figured it out. I forgot to pick one of my shares as the homeshare. Once I did that, the whole server showed up on my network, just like before.
