IBM M5210 Raid controller

I got a pulled IBM 46C9111 ServeRAID M5210 SAS/SATA Controller that works, has the 2GB flash module and the battery pack.

I am wondering if I can use this in my freenas 9.10 build? Has anyone used one and do I need/can flash it?

No, but you can probably sell it on ebay, buy a proper HBA and still end up with more money in your pocket.
