My Storage settings do not allow reading or writing to my mounted hard disk. I enabled no data reading or writing and stopped the hard disk for 30 minutes. Why is it still writing occasionally? Will it cause my hard drive to boot frequently?
Won't reading and writing be prohibited? I searched for the answer on Google. I want to realize that the hard disk automatically sleeps when it is not reading or writing, and then wakes up the hard disk when I need it.
The system dataset will be written to every few minutes for logging etc.
I would not recommend enabling power saving features on it.
If you really want to then try disabling logging.
Well, my understanding is that they are enterprise-level NAS control systems. If I want to implement home functions, I may need to look for other systems. . . .

I didn't do any other configuration, I just used it as my nas storage. On another computer, I installed the emby installed by docker and mounted the truenas hard disk through cifs-utils.
