there are 2 sticks of ram in the server.
i am testing the other 2 in the new board. the first stick passed after 4 passes no errors.
i am running the other stick now - this was dimm1 potentially the bad stick

It is good practice to run Memtest for 24 hours. I would test the known good sticks with the old CPU.

i am running memtest 86 and it stops after 4 passes - do you know where to edit the test so it runs overnight ?

Ahh ok you are using Passmark my bad. Yeah 4 tests with Passmark, with Memtest86+ it re-runs the test. Did you get any errors on DIMM1? https://www.memtest.org/#downiso

nope it passed as well - i am going to test both sticks together for the rest of the day

OK that's good. Test DIMM1B with old CPU. When this happened was the server scrubbing or transferring data?

Ok. Might be a blip these happens in a blue moon but always good to verify that hardware is good.

i still have to test memory with the original cpu G2130 - i will probably get that done on saturday
