Hello,
I buy some server and want to install on it Freenas. Specification of installation:
-esxi as supervisor
-directpath I/O P410 to freenas
-FreeNas iSCSI to esxi (as esxi storage)

But FreeNas recognize P410 but cant work with it i get errors like:
ciss0: PERFORMANT Transport
ciss0: error sending BMIC ID_CTLR command (35)
[...] ciss0 attach returned 35

pciconf -l show me about 10 the same devices

Only what i found in net:
https://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/1146
https://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/2585

But about the patch.. it's much to work with apply them in freenas?

Regards,
Mofuk

EDIT:
I check how directpath work with windows and windows see it as smart controller but wont see disks too. Then i think that is problem with directpath and P410 not with freenas...

not sure about the installation problems, but from what I know the P410 doesn't support JBOD (at all).
you could do a Raid0 which each drive, which will somehow satisfy ZFS, but you won't get SMART or any other direct access to the drives...

AKA this is a failure setup waiting to happen. ;)
