How to upgrade PHP5.5 in NextCloud PlugIn?

I've installed the NextCloud plugin. It contains NextCloud 10.0.1. I have done an upgrade to 10.0.5 but to get to NextCloud 12 I need a minimum of PHP5.6. Can anyone help as to how to do that?

I have limited FreeBSD knowledge, but I can follow instructions really well.

If someone could provide some guidance it would be appreciated.

I think the short answer is that you don't manually update stuff in a plugin jail, other than using the app's internal updater (if present). If the plugin doesn't meet your needs, the better thing to do is just build a jail that does.
