How to update Plex Media Server

I am running Trueness Scale on a PC server and want to update the Plex media Server (see screenshot). The Plex Server - Settings - General - page shows an update due. I download the update (.deb package), but am unsure how to make the "manual update." Plex says "Please install manually." but I do not see any instructions. I checked the Trueness Scale documentation, but do not see any reference to Plex updates.

I Googled the issue and found others had it, but the solutions are out of date.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

You need to wait until the chart for the "app" has been updated. You cannot install your own packages im TrueNAS SCALE, only "apps".

Try also TrueCharts apps, they are very fast with application updates.

...but both depend on the official Docker images, and if those are behind, the apps will be too. The bottom line is that it's common enough to be considered "normal" that your Plex installation will be at least a few days out of date.
