How to smb share virtual machine (ubuntu 20.04)

So pretty much I have truenas up and running with an ubuntu vm up, this vm is running inside tank and is listed as its own data set within tank. It does not come up as an smb share option. Im thinking the only way to fix this would be to place the VM inside a new dataset called vms whilst inside of the tank pool. But this would be very painful for me to redo the whole vm and everything Ive done in it. Are their any other options?
