Hi everyone, I am new to this forum.
I would like to build a TrueNAS system with Pool and Dataset Encryption.
I find that it is possible to delete the dataset when the pool (the dataset's pool) is not unlocked, even if the dataset's Encryption Options is different (not inherit), I can delete the dataset when the pool is locked.
How to prevent the "dataset delete" when the Encrypted Pool is kept lock?

You cannot prevent a dataset deletion if you have root access ...

You can set the hold property of a dataset snapshot, which may go some way to the function that you are looking for.

Is it that you want to stop an accidental action or do you distrust people with root access?
