How to partition a new external USB drive

Hi,
I purchased a new external USB drive that I want to use for offsite backup of data stored on a Freenas 8.0.4 box.

Now, in Freenas7, you could plug the new drive and format it from Disk > Management. This menu is no longer there in Freenas 8.

For the life of me, I just can't find how to partition and format the new external drive to UFS in Freenas itself.

Am I missing something obvious, or do I really need to setup a FreeBSD box for this?

You don't need another freebsd. All commands needed are present in freenas, just open up a shell.
