How to install gnome in truenas ?

TrueNAS is an appliance. If you install packages willy-nilly, you risk breaking your install.
I want to install gns3 server with GUI on truenas, so I have to use gnome to configure and manage gns3

You would be better off with a vanilla Ubuntu install running OpenZFS. TrueNAS only does storage. It has some small ability to run VMs, so you could potentially run Ubuntu as a VM, and install gns3 inside the VM. However, this would limit the resources available for gns3.
