Hello everybody,
need help with installing FreeNAS and Windows 7 on one HDD and have multiboot using GRUB or similar.
At the moment I have clean Windows 7 64bit on first partition (plus 100MB hidden system partition - typical Win7 thing) and free space after that.
FreeNAS will wipe out the existing system but what next? Can I install Windows 7 after that?

Kind regards
L

Don't think it's possible.. FreeNAS install should take the whole hdd / usb..

"FreeNAS install should take the whole hdd / usb.." ... waste of space or waste SATA slot ? This is the reason why I am trying to make multiboot system.

Understood.. It won't work though.. You would need a custom FreeNAS install I believe... Even if you manage to get dual boot.. Your taking up space on the USB that could be needed by freenas install.. May lead to dead pools.. It's against what the documentation recommends..

Hi LinusPL,

It really won't work. FreeNAS uses all 4 partitions that are allowed on an MBR disk.
