How to get rid of the weekly security output spam?

Anyone know how to get rid of these? I get one of these a week. They're the definiton of useless spam; there are no security events, nothing is "mailed separately". Daily security emails only fire if there are actual security events, but that same logic doesn't seem to extend to these.

I tried to look at the cron jobs running these but I couldn't pinpoint the correct one to disable.

The behavior is apparently controlled by the 'periodic weekly' crontab line and thus by

periodic https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=periodic&sektion=8
/etc/periodic.conf
/etc/defaults/periodic.conf

Not that I'm familiar with this mechanism, I was just curious.

My expectation is that manual changes in periodic.conf files might get overwritten with FreeNAS system updates, but can't say that for sure.

They will get overwritten. We've had feature requests in the past for a periodic.conf editor: https://bugs.freenas.org/issues/3548.

I feel like some people using an obviously pointless and redundant email as "ping" from the server isn't a very compelling reason to keep this weekly email in place. I do hope they wind up changing it.
