I created a new user called "x1", and selected the home dir as: /mnt/Vol1/ftptest

If i go into the user again, the home dir is set to "/mnt/Vol1/ftptest/x1"

I cant see any way to browse the stuff in the "ftptest" dataset, so the only way i have found is to go into a user (any user) and use the browser in there.

So, i now delete user "x1" (go into user, click delete, click ok).

I go to "add user", click browse, navigate to '/mnt/Vol1/ftptest' and the folder has several old user's folders in there from all the playing i'm doing.

How can i delete these?

If its just folders, delete them with the "rm" command.

If they are datasets, delete them from the WebGUI.

Thank you, rm -rf /mnt/Vol1/ftptest/<folder> has worked for me. I'm from a windows background, so was looking for a mouse-click to do it :)
