How to configure a Spare against more than one pool?

I have a server with 2 separate pools (12 drives and 24 drives). I would like to configure a hot spare, but the GUI is saying specify a pool. I don't want to pick just one pool. Is there a way to have the spare be ready for use in both pools?

I believe a hot spare can serve multiple vdevs but only one pool. From the zpool man page:

ZFS allows devices to be associated with pools as "hot spares".

Thanks for that link, but on that same page:

Spares can be shared across multiple pools, and can be added with the
"zpool add" command and removed with the "zpool remove" command. Once a
spare replacement is initiated, a new "spare" vdev is created within the
configuration that will remain there until the original device is
replaced. At this point, the hot spare becomes available again if another
device fails.

Yes it does, but I'd rather not muck around in the CLI and mess up something with FreeNAS.

It is probably the only way since the 'wizard' sucks.

Question, if you hit the 'Manual Setup' button, can you do it in there?

Once I add the spare to one pool, there aren't any drives available to add to the second pool (either manual or auto).
