Hi All,
I have some old SATA disks previously used as data disks with FreeNAS RAIDZ2 settings. These settings were apparently removed after using the MDADM commands of "stop" and "remove" parameters.
I am currently re-using it as part of a RAID1 array in a RHEL system. It turned out that after trying to use the MDADM commands to recreate it as part of a RAID1 array, the following errors ocurred for the reused disk:
"mdmon: imsm: Cannot open /dev/sdb: Device or resource busy"
"mdadm: /dev/sdb is not suitable for this array."
"mdadm: create aborted"
Any advice on this?
