Hello,
I have TrueNAS Core 12.0 U6 on an HP Proliant DL380e server. In order to create the pools, I must first add the 12 HDs on the Smart Array p420 as 12 simple RAID 0 logical drives.

Now in GUI> Storage> Disk it shows all logical drives with the same "Ident".

And after creating the first pool with 4 disks,

I can't create any more because now it only shows me one disk instead of showing me the remaining 8 disks.

I'm pretty sure this happens to me because they all have the same "Ident".

I need to change the that value for each logical drive. Either from TrueNAS itself or from the FreeBSD shell.

Thanks for reading my query, any help is welcome.

You need to yank the P420 and replace it with an HBA. This article is written for people in your situation:

This is a nonoptional change, and you are expected to run into various troubles, both immediately and down the road, if you do not use a proper HBA.

Setting a speed record for "Like"'s, @elvisimprsntr and @Patrick M. Hausen both Liked my post by the time the forumware refreshed my screen after hitting Post.

That may well be the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me on this forum.

Likely because we were both typing a response when we received the message that a new post was made and decided your post was better.
