Hi.

I thought I could simply extract the kernel modules from an existing FreeBSD 9.1 installation, unfortunately, it's not that easy (get Exec format error when trying to load it).

So I built freenas from source instead. but just like the distribution, the actual kernel modules built is rather small.

where should I be looking to build extra kernel modules (I'm interested in the ichsmb and smb modules)

thank you

Yes, I get that the version must match... Question is more about how do you set the freenas build system to build the extra modules? It only builds a very small subset of all the one available in FreeBSD...

Thanks

thanks...

Had to delete the os-base folder for it to rebuild everything... but it's now all good... so let see if I can access the super i/o controller via the sm bus now :)
