How to backup TrueNas to different location ( using 2nd TruNas or Synology)

Hi All,

I have small business, and 5-6 people are using NAS to share small files ( after 1 year we have 80Gb od data). Currently we are using Synology DS218+ and it's working good, but I want something more quick ( we are using a lot of excel file, and database SW)

I want to go to TruNas due to high confident of reliability but I have 2 questions:

1. How I can do backups in different locations?
2. Can I use current synology system in 2nd location, or is better to have 2nd TruNas?

How I can do backups in different locations?

So many ways. To list a few:

• Cloud sync to a supported provider (including Google, Backblaze, S3 (including third-party S3-compatible storage),...)
• Replication to another TrueNAS system (or, potentially, to a non-TrueNAS system using Linux or FreeBSD and using ZFS, including rsync.net)
• rsync to another NAS, which could be your Synology NAS.
