How do you install truenas on dell power edge 2970

When I go to the installation menu it says no drive are there but there are 4 500gb drive installed on the server

Wipe all the drives. TrueNAS refuses to install on drives with existing partitions as a safety measure.

Yes, unfortunately, you have the wrong controller for TrueNAS. This is a RAID controller, not an HBA.

You'll need to replace it with an H200 or H310.

Order it with the correct cables. Then replace the cable runs to the backplane.
