How do I remove attachments from a PM thread?

The other day I was asked by one of the devs if I could PM a debug log for analysis of a problem that I have. That worked out well, except... that I can't seem to remove the attachment with the debug log from the PM now?

The logs contain personal information, such as my (user) name, so I don't want them to stick around on the forums' server indefinitely. How do I remove attachments from PM threads after the recipient has downloaded them?

Who's the dev? They may be able to edit your message and remove the offending file if you ask them. If not, things might be slightly more complicated, but doable.
