Now whenever I reboot my server or Stop and Start the Transmission plugin, I run into the same issue and have to reedit resolv.conf again to get it working. I'm assuming there's a good reason why this is the case, but it'd be nice to not have to hop into shell every time I have to reboot my server. Is there any fix for this?

wget -qO - http://wtfismyip.com/text
to check if my IP was successfully masked, the shell simply flashed at me for about a minute then let me type in a new command as if I'd never even typed the wget one. I'd run into this issue with this highly recommended Reddit guide , but thanks to a comment from Cory Vidal, I fixed it by running nano etc/resolv.conf
and changing nameserver to 8.8.8.8 . Now wget -qO - http://wtfismyip.com/text
returns the IP from the VPN as it should! Now whenever I reboot my server or Stop and Start the Transmission plugin, I run into the same issue and have to reedit resolv.conf again to get it working.
