How can I make my Dell H330 controller not destroy my raid?

Everything is fine so far. This is my current config:

• 6x4TB drives in RAIDZ2.
• 40TB L2ARC which is a VMDK in VMware on Samsung Pro 960.
• No ZIL as I don't have a redundant SSD solution yet.

I've configured passthrough for the Dell H330 controller to the FreeNAS VM. Can I now trust it won't be doing nasty things?

If you flashed to IT, I'd say you are OK. If not, don't use with ZFS.
