Everyone using FreeBSD is very happy and a large portion of the userbase uses it, including all of iX's enterprise customers. There aren't many real problems with CORE, certainly a lot less than with SCALE, so most of the forum users you see are SCALE users wandering in with their Linux-related issues. Some of us have gotten tired of all the Linux whining and don't focus much on the SCALE forums as a result. It's probably a mistake to underestimate the number of users who just quietly enjoy their FreeBSD based NAS for years on end; iX posted stats on this somewhere but I didn't find the right keywords for it yet. SCALE is for people who enjoy masochistic bleeding. CORE is for those of us who like efficient stability.
