Hotswap able Hardware

Hello
i have been reading that the "Sunnytek ST-2131 SATA / SAS Backplane für 3 x HDD / schwarz" would be able to do Hotswap if the Controller is able too.
as i do understand the Controller would be the Motherboard like ([X9SCA] MBD-X9SCA-B).
if on the Motherboard site is nothing written about Hotswap - it is right to belive it would not Support it?

Hotswappable hard drives? I always get this one confused but I don't believe FreeNAS itself supports it.. Regardless of hardware currently..

Sure it does. Any modern OS does.

Don't expect anything to work unless you test it properly.

The entire chain has to support hot swapping. That said, Intel PCH SATA supports hot swapping, generally.
