I have a nicely built Freenas box thats been running pretty good plugged into my office port. Standard 100mbit cheapo switch. I move it into the server closet to a 1000mbit port yesterday and my write speeds dropped to like 9.4kbps. Its basically timing out. Read speeds seem to be there. Up in the 12mbps range
Build FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201506162331
Platform Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU C2750 @ 2.40GHz
Memory 32715MB
System Time Thu Jun 25 07:39:57 MDT 2015
Uptime 7:39AM up 15:47, 0 users
Load Average 0.16, 0.05, 0.01
6-6TB drives in ZFS

Any advice? new to FreeNAS
thanks

what kind of switch are you plugging it into? and if so, anything special configurated on it?
Seeing you didn't replace any hardware, its highly likely your network part is being botched somewhere ;-)

Have you ruled out a bad patch cable? No. 1 cause of networking issues.
