I don't know. Did you consult the FreeBSD hardware compatibility list as the FreeNAS manual recommends?

I have this working, I got the source code from Highpoint and compiled a kernel module for 8.3

I have posted the driver module

Just wanted to add that I've just tried FreeNAS 9.1.1 Beta 5 x64 and the highpoint DataCenter DC7280 is fully supported. No need to get your own driver.
