Trying FreeNas for first time and kind of lost here, anyone please?
let me start by mentioning that my IE doesn't allow me to make any change on the server, is this normal? Then whatever I do it doesn't get an IP automatically to start working with it so i have to set it manually, is this common? Now when i look into my modem-router i can see it got an IP but it won't show on the freenas screen

IE is very broken with FreeNAS. Your best bet is to use Firefox. I believe Firefox is the only one that hasn't had any problems(chrome has had some random issues, but they don't seem to be common among the masses).
