Hello everyone. I'm new to FreeNAS and here to find out if my intended build is compatible. It's good to hear from so many knowledgeable and friendly people.
Pick a solid motherboard, build good cooling (plenty of fans), a minimum of 8 GB memory and be skeptical of older hard drives. They do have a lifespan, don't expect them to last forever. Otherwise FreeNas is surprisingly compatible!
