Where to start - I came here to learn about FreeNAS like everyone here. I create my first and only FreeNAS server about 6-7 months ago.
32 GB RAM
RaidZ2 - 5x 4TB drives (Looking to upgrade to 6TB drives once the market price and department budget is good)
64GB ZIL
120GB L2ARC
Xeon E3-1276 v3 @ 3.60Ghz
SnapShots every hour with offsite backup every night.
For a small business of 30 users (mix of client OS - OSX, Linux, Windows) on CIFS - average user is just doing word document or excel files.
Outside work - cycling, anime, gaming ...
@Work - dealing with just about everything that I am not suppose to do. (DBA, programmer/developer , SysAdmin, DevOps, phone systems, webservers, Network Admin and whatever they ask - you get the point)
