I've been looking at upgrading my current woefully underpowered server for a while now, and after reading all of the documentation I could from the forum here I ended up with a lovely little 6x2TB C2750 / 16GB ECC system to handle all of the NAS/transcoding/remote hosting, etc services my old consumer grade recycled Core 2 machine does. From what I gather this build should be more than enough to handle my small 2 - 5 device home environment for a few years to come.
I'd like to say FreeNAS looks fantastic and I'm looking forward to using it once my drives have been fully tested.
