It's been really exciting to work on the FreeNAS project. Our team is really quite amazing and I've been very impressed with their work.
The FreeNAS user community has been really fun and interesting to interact with. Whether it's use cases, patches, thoughts, bug reports, troubleshooting, or experiences I've learned and experienced a lot.
Sometimes I have to bury my head in the sand and ignore things like forums or mailing lists or IRC in order to get anything done. In some ways the FreeNAS user community is like a fire hydrant running full bore, and trying to take a drink from it doesn't have a pretty ending, but I do try to stay in tune with as much as I can, even if it's a random sampling.
