Hi everyone,

I could use your help. I have a small problem with ZFS Replication. To be precise, I get this error message:

Background:
Until recently I was running a backup server together with my productive system in a rack. As this became too insecure for me, I set up an external backup.
I bought a tower server and installed a new TrueNAS Scale there. I then moved the disks from the rack backup server to the new tower and imported the ZFS pool.
Now I wanted to set up ZFS replication again and I get this warning. With the first dataset I wanted to replicate, I was stupid enough to simply confirm the warning message. The result was that apparently the entire dataset with 4.5TB is now being replicated again. And this via a WAN connection... :-(
Now I still have a dataset with almost 25TB and would like to avoid the complete replication.

By the way, if that is important. I am replicating from a TrueNAS Core to a TrueNAS Scale with the latest version.

Can someone tell me firstly how to do this and secondly briefly explain what I have done wrong?

Thank you very much

Joe
