A Intel Z170 Board is a consumer mainboard with an chipset, which was designed for performance enthusiast and gamers. This platform is not recommended for a server usage. Look at Intels C232/C236/C422 chipsets instead.
You can use it - yes, but with a more cheaper mainbaord (eg. H170) you would get the same performance. And on both board you usually have no ECC support. So please look at XEON processors and boards etc.
