I think you might be refering to the empty power supply hot swap bays in the back of both servers?

I can buy these PSU blank covers
or two new 920w SuperQuiet 1U PSUs to fill those holes.

Either way I get what you're telling me, but right now it's winter
and all my stuff runs very cool at this time of year. When the warm
weather returns believe me, I would never have those "open holes"
in the back of my machines. Today the ambient temp in my house
was 20 degrees celsius and my warmest drive was 28.

finally found a good deal on two more power supplies for the servers.
One of my favorite ebay sellers sent me 2 used supermicro PWS-920P-SQ platinum psus for $178 shipped. They tested out with good voltages and
I'm now waiting for 2 new power cables to connect them with.
