Hmm, I don't have that issue myself, though I removed the VNC device as soon as I verified I could get in using RDP.
Are you using the VirtIO network driver (and not the e1000)? I've had issues in the past where the e1000 device would lock up IO.

So, with 11.3 you'll get a lot more stability using VirtIO. If you haven't customized your install very far, I'd suggest reinstalling with a VirtIO network card and VirtIO disk. You'll need VirtIO drivers (i.e. from the Fedora project) and can follow a guide like this one to get it done. You'll not need anything more than the storage and network driver.

I have also posted the steps on switching the AHCI drive to VirtIO here, if a clean install isn't desirable.

you should probably make a new post, as this problem doesn't seem related, and you will probably be able to catch the attention of people who know VM stuff with a new post instead of hidden in a necro'd post.
