Hi;
I have a mixed network with PCs (XP and Windows 7), Macs (iMac / Macbook Pro / AppleTV2). I am getting really confused with setting permissions and shares etc.
I managed to access my freeNAS from windows XP (not sure how but I did) but for the life of me I cannot access from my MacBook Pro.
I have set up 1 x User (Skavenger) and 1 x Group (Skavenger).
It will only be me accessing my files but I want to be able to access them on my home network using my Macbook Pro, Apple TV (Will be jailbroke with SeasonPass or Greenpoison) and MAY eventually wish to access over the Internet?
Can anyone point me to a simple guide to setting up shares for a mixed network.
