Coming to freenas to find a good alternative to replace our old netapp solution.
Currently trying to host it on a VM on top of a PureStorage FA M20 storage array

almost, well
just facing performance issues with AD authentication at this time and blocking me going further right now.
I really need this system being able to serve the same files withe the same grants to both Windows (through CIFS) and Linux (through NFS) systems

I have heard AD auth can be a bit tricky, hope it all works out for you.
Luckily I don't deal with AD as I only use freenas at home
