I've been lurking here for a long time reading up so I can replace a old Windows home server 2011... lol I have a mixed OS house hold Pc, Mac, Linux and was looking for something to serve as a back up/media server. I have built a temp FreeNAS box out of old stuff to learn the basics on, now I intend to do it right. I'm here to expand my limited knowledge. p.s. I move between my two homes as listed above, but the server stays in California.
