Hardware verification for 4790K based build

Hi Members,

I am new to NAS builds. Previously only built gaming PCs.
I am looking to build a TrueNAS Core based NAS home server. I am trying to repurpose my old computer and use new parts as required.
Can you help me validate compatibility before I move ahead?

Hardware:
CPU: Intel 4790K
GPU: Asus Strix GTX 970
Main Board : Asus Maximus VII Hero (Z97)
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance PRO (Non ECC)
Boot drive: Samsung 890M.2 1TB
Storage: 2x Toshiba MG09 18TB (to begin with)
Case: Corsair Obsidian 450
PSU: Corsair RM750

Additional hardware:

Can you recommend 10G ethernet cards that I can install that will enable connecting to a internet and probably directly to the Mac Studio ? (Newby here)


Purpose:

Large volume video footage backup (access and write speed is important)
Mac backup (2 Macs)
iPhone backup (iPhones)

That boot drive is awful big, and a waste of space as TN will use the whole drive, unless you hack it around - which is not reccomended. If you already have the drive and its got no other use then fine.
10Gb Cards from Intel, Chelsio are good. Some mellanox are OK. Try to avoid 10000BaseT and use either fibre or DAC

I did build the NAS as planned. It was easy.
What is next: For some reason the read and write speed to the NAS is no more than 25 MB/s

I cant understand why is this! Even though I am on 1G network using just the router, I was expecting better speeds.
Hard drives I am using are rated at 268 MB/s
