Hardware discussion thread

I was reading something the other day that will likely be useful to others and while looking through there is a 3rd party software discussion thread but nothing for the hardware outside of a Build thread or a help and support thread. Somewhere that can include news for hardware as well as general hardware discussions would be a nice feature for the forums. No builds or anything like that but performance information on a new drive, new cpu, motherboard etc.

For instance http://www.tomshardware.com/news/hdd-sata-power-disable-feature,36146.html will be very helpful information as PWDIS becomes more commonly used.

We're going to review the forum layout when we move to XenForo 2 next year. This kind of discussion generally goes in Off-topic now, but we can see about making a more explicit section for it.
