What info do you need to help troubleshoot? Or is this a case of two bad drives and they need replacement?

That information is enough. Those are both on their way out and should be replaced.

Rats, thought so. Thanks, just needed confirmation.

Now to figure out if it's worth replacing these 2TB drives or pull all four drives and replace with larger capacity drives. Off to check pricing.

I thought it was interesting that the most recent smart tests reported were about 7000 hours ago for both drives. Compare "power on hours" with the hours for the most recent self-tests.

Did you turn off SMART or not enable it for those specific drives?

As far as I know, SMART was setup when drives were installed years ago and I've never made a change to the settings.

Effectively you've been very slowly scanning the drives by reading and writing to them, so the fact you didn't catch those bad sectors sooner is all you lost.

Something to look into then - that the service is turned on and also the Enable SMART box is checked for each drive in Storage>Disks>Edit Disk - I missed this last step after a disk replacement ...

Yeah, service is turned on. Checked for each drive. Each disk shows Enable SMART: True. SMART extra options: N/A.
