Hello all:

I've seem to run into an issue with my new 8.04 64-bit FreeNAS build.

So far my specs are:
Intel MB DQ695DF
Pentium D 3.2GHz CPU
8GB DDR2 RAM
At least two 1TB HDs, but will prob add more before the build is done.

However, when attempting to setup FreeNAS I've encounter an issue. Menus via the webgui are hanging. Some do it at random, others do it everytime. For example: The "add unix share" buttons NEVER work.

I click the button and here's what happens:

Then it sits there forever until I close it. Also, the webgui seems to be really slooooow. When saving settings it's seems to take a really long time.

I've installed FreeNAS to two different thumb drives and the same thing has happened.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I first noticed it on my Ubuntu box running Chrome. I then tried it on my Mac in both Safari and Firefox. Same thing happens.

Actually, I'm trying to access it via another machine running Chrome (Ubuntu 12.04) and it's still doing the same exact thing.

I'm downloading a fresh FreeNAS iso in case I somehow got a corrupted image.

Well, I think I've discovered the problem, at least partly.

I tried everything I could think of and still ended of with the same symptons. I had a AMD MB/CPU combo featuring a AMD X2 4000+ cpu in the drawer, so I swapped the drives, thumbdrive, RAM, etc. and now everything's working perfectly. It's even the same FreeNAS install on the thumbdrive. It must have been something about the Intel MB. Though I couldn't imagine what. The board was used so maybe it's on it's way out.

Oh well, I wanted to use the Pentium D 3.2GHz cpu, but I guess as long as it works that's all that matters. Unfortunately, I wasted a whole day chasing this ghost.

Thanks for everyone's help.
