I use FreeNAS on a redundant Supermicro twin processor Xeon system. As well as a boot SSD, it has an 8 disk 30TB raid with 15TB usable space. I am most impressed at the streams of emails telling me one disk has been ejected. These emails also say how to add a replacement.

It has worked pretty flawlessly non-stop since installation three years ago as a backuo server.
